Gravity & Grace —a dream

Gravity & Grace
—a dream

I am wings now.
Not broken, not borrowed—
but born from the ache
of becoming.

You reach for me,
not to hold,
but to steady the breeze
as I take first flight.

We entangle in wonder,
not to vanish,
but to deepen
the shape of who we are.

You embrace me
not to contain,
but to witness
what flies freely
when love doesn’t cage.

I move untethered—
not away,
but within this breathless hush
where closeness
never demands closing.

This isn’t escape.
It’s grace.
It’s choosing the sky
without forgetting
where the wind began.

I am wild.
I am still.
And I return
because love like this
remembers the perch
without ever asking me to land.

And this is what I would say
if you were truly here—

Is it you?
Have you always been the gravity beneath my flight?
The grace in every departure?
The silence I’ve always trusted enough to return to?
